HISTORY of GULLANE DAY CENTRE

A meeting was held with the aim to set up a day centre for the elderly. This was met with great enthusiasm by a large section of the community and so it began!

The Day Centre is in the centre of community; it’s a place to make new friends and keep in touch with old ones in the Gullane, Dirleton and Aberlady areas..

Gullane Day Centre

The Gullane Surgery and Day Centre is a modern, purpose-built facility. The Day Centre is a self funded modern purpose built facility to support the elderly in Aberlady, Gullane, Drem and Dirleton.

The building itself features locally accessed materials, including sandstone and timber frames and the contemporary design incorporates energy efficient measures, including a living sedum roof and air source heating.
